After developing his marketing and sales skills in the recreation industry Joe was recruited to the real estate field in 2005. Soon after, he became one of the original staff members of A Place in Vermont Real Estate where he became an expert in the second home market. His in-depth knowledge of the Mount Snow valley and years of connections in the area combined with a positive, but laid-back approach and strong people skills are great assets to his real estate practice. Joe’s past experience working with both buyers and sellers include transactions of private single family residences, slope-side luxury ski homes and condominiums and large country estates. He is very excited about his current affiliation with Vermont Country Properties/Sotheby’s International Realty that allows him to offer his clients marketing exposure that is global.
Initially attracted to Vermont by the snowy winters Joe spent years in ski area management developing the Hermitage Inn into a nationally recognized cross country ski destination. With professional certifications in both alpine and cross country skiing he continues to enjoy helping others improve their capabilities of sliding around on snow. On the flip side of winter Joe picked up his wide ranging knowledge of the back roads and swimming holes in the state guiding bicycle tours. Combining his interests in physical exertion, competition and speed naturally led him to the bike racing circuit where he competed for years throughout the US and Canada. In the summer you will still find him leading the Tuesday night rides for Deerfield Valley Velo.
